• To create a high level technical and scientific group in which professionnals, scientists and academic staff can exchange on new trends and emerging technologies on asphalt materials and pavements.
• To provide a forum for high quality peer reviewed papers on all aspects of asphalt technology to be presented and discussed.
• To bring together theory and practice.
• To give a better understanding of existing practice and to describe and make comparisons with new developments.
• To publish the papers in special issues of the International Journal "Road Materials and Pavement Design".
